We Can’t Wait to Host You!
You are cordially invited to The M. Kukoyi Foundation (MKF)’s third annual gala on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 4-6PM CST which will be held virtually via zoom. Our phenomenal speakers are experts in their fields and will be providing useful insights. This will be a time of networking, refreshing and fundraising for life-saving and impactful programs. You are welcome to donate even if you cannot attend live. All proceeds from ticket sales, donations, and fundraising activities are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
MKF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to optimize healthcare delivery in resource-limited settings, as well as foster youth empowerment through scholarship. We have been most active in Nigeria, Ghana and IL. We partner with local organizations to provide funding for the critical hours of trauma care, accident survival kits, educate communities on life-saving first aid measures, build infrastructure in elementary schools, conduct health screenings for common medical conditions, conduct HIV screening and link patient to care, provide food and other basic needs to underserved communities and much more.
Some highlights of our initiatives from 2023-2024 include:
– The first cohort of our CPR and accident resuscitation education (CARE) initiative ended in July 2024 and trained almost 500 community members in basic life-saving and first aid skills.
– Our trauma care funding which provides funds for the first 24 hours of accident victims supported 56 beneficiaries in 10 hospitals with a 100% survival rate in 2023. Our 2024 initiative is still in progress
– We assembled hospital consumables and provided 60 trauma kits to three of the busiest trauma hospitals in Lagos, Nigeria. These kits contained essential equipment needed in critical, trauma cases.
-Development of infrastructure to aid learning. We recently completed the building of a borehole (to provide water) and toileting facilities in two elementary schools in Northern Nigeria
– For World AIDS Day 2023, we tested 150 people with 2 newly diagnosed patients who were enrolled into care. We also provided medical screenings for common medical conditions such as hypertension and diabetes
We have so much more planned in 2025 and need your help!
