Dr. Mobola Kukoyi

Mobola Kukoyi, MD, MPH

Dr. Kukoyi is the founder of MKF, and is an emergency physician with national and global experience in emergency care and public health. She obtained her medical degree from Duke University and completed her emergency medicine residency at the University of Chicago. Following her passion for philanthropy, she founded The M. Kukoyi Foundation, through which she hopes to optimize health care delivery in resource-limited settings, improve the provision of emergency care, and increase literacy among our youth by reducing economic barriers to education. In her free time, Mobola loves to travel, try new restaurants, explore the outdoors and dance.

Kemi Ogunsanwo

Kemi Ogunsanwo, MSEM, MBA, PMP

Kemi, as those close to her call her, is a self-motivated and forward-thinking Civil Engineer and Business Manager with over 16 years’ experience in innovative research and creativity, design and engineering, construction and business and project management. She is a graduate of University of South Florida with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering and Engineering Management.

Kemi is an Academic and practical researcher who creates innovative and sustainable ways of resolving water, environmental, structure, transportation and business issues. She is a sustainable infrastructure and green project advocacy committed to designing environmental conscious and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.  Her array of unique skills, experiences in both the private and public sector (government and academia) and vast knowledge has made her a force to reckon with in her field.

 In her leisure time, she loves cycling, kickboxing, hiking and playing tennis. She is a lover of nature and outdoor activities. In addition, she enjoys meeting new people, traveling, learning new cultures and tasting food and wine from around the world.

Kemi loves to invest in others and help them reach their full potential by sharing her knowledge, time and in some cases resources. Whether it is being a board member of a non-profit organization, providing professional advice on improving water quality and human or public health in various communities, solving environmental, transportation and business issues, giving and raising money or painting houses for the less advantaged. Her impact resonates in the lives of all who have come in contact with her.

Chijioke Ulasi, DMD, MPH

Dr. Chijioke Ulasi is a dentist and the Dental Director at Whatley Health Services, inc., in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, in Birmingham, Alabama. She will be transitioning to be a dentist at Helena Road Dental Care in Helena, Alabama. She has a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry and a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Alabama School of Public Health. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the State University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, where she was a member of the Honors Program and the Student Government Association.

She is a member of the Leadership Hoover class of 2021-2022. She serves on the Board of Directors at the University of Alabama at Birmingham National Alumni Society. In addition, she has served on various boards, including the American Student Dental Association National Leadership and Editorial Board, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama’s Young Leadership Board, and the Policy Council for Head Start and Early Head start programs Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity in Birmingham, Alabama. She has worked and assisted on several research projects locally, nationally, and internationally including craniofacial and dental research, genetic and genomic research, injury prevention and traffic safety projects, and HIV-related research.

Furthermore, she has published peer-reviewed research and presented research at national conferences. She has also published editorials and blog articles about dentistry and improving health outcomes and well-being. Dr. Ulasi has received several awards through the years related to dentistry, leadership, research, public health, and academic achievement.

Dr. Ulasi is a wife, daughter, sister, and mother of three children. Dr. Ulasi has experience working with a nonprofit to obtain a Standard of Excellence code through a previous role with the Alabama Association of Nonprofits. She is enthusiastic about serving on the M. Kukoyi Foundation Board of Directors to advance its mission of fostering healthcare and educational opportunities in underserved communities.
