Yet, for many international students pursuing advanced degrees abroad, financial barriers often limit access to high-quality education, leadership opportunities, and global networks. By investing in their education, we are investing in future change makers who will go on to lead in medicine, public health, research, and beyond.
What We do
The M. Kukoyi Foundation proudly sponsors the Mobola Kukoyi, MD Scholar Award through the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) National Alumni Society. This award provides financial support and recognition to exceptional international students at UAB who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to service.
Since its inception, the award has supported a diverse group of students from around the world, helping to reduce financial strain and affirm their contributions to the academic community.
Through extensive research and collaboration with local communities, we take meaningful, data-driven approaches. By continuously collecting, analyzing, and applying real-time data, we are able to identify high-impact interventions, allocate resources effectively, and tailor our strategies to the specific needs of different populations. This evidence-based methodology ensures that our programs remain adaptive, targeted, and outcome-focused.
